Fufu

Fufu is an African staple that is served throughout the continent. Culturally, fufu is similar to a family recipe with a famous ingredient that makes it their own. Every country in Africa has its own way of making fufu that individualizes the dish and makes it personal to the location you are in. The consistency of fufu is closest to mashed potato, although a bit firmer, and our fufu is cooked with plantain and yam flour. Fufu is meant to be used to scoop up your stew or other entree.

Jollof Rice

Jollof rice is another staple dish served in West Africa. It is white rice cooked in a tomato-based sauce with our West African curry, garlic, and ginger. Jollof rice is often served at celebrations, festivals, and gatherings, and there's a friendly rivalry among West African countries about who makes the best jollof rice, leading to many debates and competitions.
